Poet, Sound Artist, Performer, Coach, Professor. Mainly interested in transtextual, performative amplifications of languages, sound and theory, as well as researching electro-acustic and conceptual recordings from a transmedial and feminist perspective. Performed and lectured worldwide at different festivals and locations: mex/Dortmund, reiheM/Cologne, Sound-Text-Festival, Issue Project Room/Goethe Institute New York, non event/Goethe Institute, Boston, Poetic Voices Africa-Festival/Cologne., Sound Eye Festival/Cork, International Poetry Festival/Bucarest & Istanbul, Salon de Poesia/ Gundalajara/ Mexico City, European Writers Festival, Yerevan etc. Artist Residencies in Nairs/Switzerland, Istanbul/Turkey, Svendborg/Danmark, Johannesburg/South Africa etc.
Lichtenstein teaches as Professor for Text and Aesthetic Practices at the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf and Liminal Agencies at the Institut for Music and Media/Robert Schuman-Conservatory, teaches or taught also at: University of Applied Arts in Vienna and KHM (Academy of Media Arts), ifs (International Film School)- Cologne, Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, University of Delhi, University of Cologne, Universidad del Norte Baranquilla, Colombia etc. Organizer of LCD-Duesseldorf (2010-2014) etc. She co-founded cOsmOsmOse-Festival for Performance Poetry and Verbophonie (since 2013) and held as artist director of cOsmOsmOse-Label for Sound Writing as well as she founded 2018 the feminist Rolling Eyes-Festival and Collective in Dusseldorf.
